IOW: Through the spooky glass

Sure, ‘tis not really the season to showcase creepy crawly movie things, yet our double barreled pimping yesterday of the Freeky Creek Short Film Festival and the Drunken Zombie Film Festival inspired us to go for the throat today! Whether we clamp down hard with our first clip, induce a gag reflex via the second, or conjure one of those super-annoying tickles that just won’t quit due to the teaser poster, us Midwestern folk can clearly muster the weirdness alongside everyone else in that business we call show!

At long last, we bring you visual confirmation of the Tangeant Productions short THE WINDOW INTO TIME, an original story created by Thomas Nicol of Urbana in the vein of the late writer H.P. Lovecraft (At the Mountains of Madness). Shot by DSLR madman Tim Meyers and drenched in post-production with eerie duotones, WINDOW stars Bill Kephart (REVOLTING) and Stephanie Swearingen (ONCE UPON A TIME IN 1972) as daring scientists who mate modern knowledge with ancient texts, collected by a wary colleague (Michael Kilcullen) and encoded with mind-blowing secrets simply intended to … unlock:

We’ve also scored our first peek at the next project from C-U Blogfidential contributor Tyler Tharpe called DOUBLE DOSE OF TERROR!! – emphasis on the exclamation points, there are two of ‘em – an anthology horror movie produced by Tharpe’s Innerworld Pictures and MagGot Films of Pittsburgh, run by Michael Todd Schneider. A framing tale directed by MagGot’s Max Almeida involving an underground slave ring sets up two grueling stories, “Bowling Night” directed by Tharpe and “Our Devil’s Night” directed by Schneider:

To seal the triple threat this evening, Drunken Zombie leaves us no other alternative but to share their new festival poster, once again nicely retro-designed by Matt O’Neill and quite suitable for hanging should prints be made available this November!
