ARTS & SCIENCE premiere

Bloomington, IL, filmmaker Owen Brazas has announced that his second feature-length independent film, ARTS & SCIENCE, will premiere on Wednesday, May 3, 8 p.m., at the Normal Theater, 209 North St., Normal, IL, near the Illinois State University campus. Admission will be $5.

According to Brazas, ARTS & SCIENCE originated as a play, written and directed by David Roby, that won the “Best New Play” award at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Michael R. Baffes and Accident Films produced the film version of ARTS & SCIENCE for less than $1,000 in under eight days.

Currently a senior at Illinois State University and a former student of Columbia College in Chicago, Brazas has one prior micro-budget feature to his credit, A BLOODY MESS. His short films, THE LETTER and KILL KILL KILL!, can be rented on DVD from The Movie Fan, located directly across the street from the Normal.

The ARTS & SCIENCE trailer can be downloaded for viewing from the Accident Films web site.
