WELCOME TO TOLONO update

Although the movie version of Mark Roberts’ play “Welcome to Tolono” is now in production, the company needs to fill positions on both sides of the camera immediately.

According to Cara Day‘s e-newsletter, Cultural Diversions, upcoming scenes require numerous extras. “We need extras 30 and over [in age],” 2nd assistant director Karla Strum tells Day, “[and] children can come, but must be accompanied by an adult who is willing to be an extra!”

On Saturday, May 6, 2006, 7:30 p.m., at the Presbyterian Church, 104 E. Vine, Tolono, the company will film a funeral scene.

On Thursday, May 11, 2006, 12 p.m., at the Hungry Dog Cafe, 113 N. Bourne St., Tolono, the company will film a daytime cafe scene.

For more information, contact Strum at (217) 485-2160 or tolonoextras@gmail.com.

Also, today’s issue of The Hub reports that WELCOME TO TOLONO could use additional production assistants, “particularly in the first two weeks … potential assignments range from setting up lights and props to running errands and locking down the set.” Filming is set to continue through May 29.
