CRAZY & THIEF set to charm Art

Good afternoon, Confidential agents! Even though we provided you with a lengthy lowdown on visiting filmmaker Cory McAbee (THE AMERICAN ASTRONAUT, STINGRAY SAM) two days ago, we decided there is no harm in reminding you his key Champaign-Urbana appearance takes place tonight, Thursday, January 24, starting at 7:30 p.m.! The Champaign-Urbana Film Society will present McAbee’s newest feature-length creation, CRAZY & THIEF, at the Art Theater Co-op, 126 W. Church St., Champaign, in a free screening sponsored by the University of Illinois’ Hendrick House and made possible by support from the Urbana Public Arts Grant. McAbee will then participate in a Q&A session with the audience. Please attend and support the efforts of CUFS to infuse a little extra film culture into the C-U tapestry! Apart from reprising the event details, we also needed an excuse to highlight the rather nifty pop-art promotional poster designed by Matt Wiley for McAbee’s appearances.
