However, that doesn\u2019t mean we aren\u2019t thinking about those who wind up in front of the lens, as you might have gathered with our <strong>LEADING LADIES <\/strong>posts from earlier this year, and we\u2019ll gladly step outside the box (which is still planted firmly in left field, mind you) to present opportunities for talent when they become known.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">To <em>that<\/em> end&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">A writer\/producer named <strong>Brandon Grubb <\/strong>is in pre-production for an indie feature called <strong>THE ACT OF SEPARATION<\/strong>, which he intends to film in the <strong>Danville, IL<\/strong>, and <strong>Covington, IN<\/strong>, areas during a \u201cthree-week window\u201d in October. Grubb needs to cast seven lead roles \u2013 six male, one female, all early 20s \u2013 in the meantime. You can contact Grubb through <a title=\"THE ACT OF SEPARATION casting call @ Craigslist.org\" href=\"http:\/\/chambana.craigslist.org\/tlg\/1360288972.html\" target=\"_blank\">this <strong>Craigslist <\/strong>posting<\/a> or by writing <strong>brandion [at] sbcglobal [dot] net<\/strong>; he has character descriptions, a story summary, and the working script available to share with interested parties. <strong>SEPARATION <\/strong>is about a college student named Kyle who returns home for a weekend to do a good deed, although something sinister is clouding the familiar trappings that he\u2019s known his entire life. \u201cIt\u2019s definitely an artsy film of sorts,\u201d Grubb tells <strong>CUBlog<\/strong>, \u201cbut with plenty of familiar action and character development.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">From the philosophically sublime to the pleasantly scary, long-time <strong>MICRO-FILM <\/strong>pal <strong>Tom Grassman <\/strong>dropped us a line to let us know that his wife <strong>Christy <\/strong>is helping put together a \u201chigh-end haunted house\u201d with a horror movie theme in <strong>Pesotum, IL<\/strong>. The attraction will need actors in various roles throughout October until <strong>Hallowe\u2019en <\/strong>weekend. Auditions are this coming <strong>Saturday, September 12<\/strong>, starting at <strong>3:30 p.m.<\/strong> in Pesotum. If interested, you\u2019re invited to call the lovely Mrs. Grassman at <strong>(217) 493-2012 <\/strong>for further information including the location where auditions will be held. It\u2019s a paying gig, by the way. (We told you it was <em>pleasantly <\/em>scary!)
