Therefore, we\u2019ll urge you to simply pick any one of the half-dozen offerings playing the Art Theater Co-op<\/strong> in Champaign<\/strong> this week. You\u2019ll find them listed below as always; otherwise, allow the Art Co-op Web site<\/a><\/span> or Google<\/strong> searches to be your friend in becoming familiar with the details per film. You can also use a trip to 126 W. Church St.<\/strong> as an excuse to wish GM Austin McCann<\/strong> a happy birthday should you see him. If you happen to catch this post going live, however, immediately<\/em> bolt right out the nearest door and head to the Art to partake in the first annual Art House Theater Day<\/strong> on Sat., 9\/24, 7:30 p.m.<\/strong>, with an exclusive screening of the 2K restoration of Terry Gilliam<\/strong>\u2019s TIME BANDITS<\/strong> (Handmade Films<\/strong>), an awesome flight of historical fantasy not often heralded in discussions of Eighties effects spectaculars. The dry-witted, era-hopping adventure stars Craig Warnock, David Rappaport, David Warner, Sean Connery, Shelley Duvall, Katherine Helmond, Ian Holm<\/strong>, fellow Monty Python<\/strong> members Michael Palin<\/strong> and John Cleese<\/strong>, Sir Ralph Richardson<\/strong> as the \u201cSupreme Being,\u201d and the recently departed Kenny Baker<\/strong> as \u201cFidgit.\u201d This nationwide recognition of all things art house is organized by the Art House Convergence<\/strong>, a program that originated through the Sundance Institute<\/strong>. \u201cFOW<\/strong>\u201d is hereby fin<\/em>.<\/p>\n
