Two weeks ago, one of the hardest-working indie filmmakers living and creating in MICRO-FILM Country<\/strong>, Kimberly Conner<\/strong> of Predestined Arts & Entertainment<\/strong><\/a><\/span> in Springfield<\/strong>, announced on Facebook<\/strong> that her second feature film BEFORE \u2018I DO\u2019<\/strong><\/a><\/span> would be released in multiple territories on Tuesday, March 6<\/strong>, including the United States<\/strong>. Maverick Entertainment Group<\/strong> will distribute it domestically on DVD and streaming platforms as they did with Conner\u2019s full-length debut, JUMP IN<\/strong>, which you can watch via Amazon<\/strong><\/a><\/span> right now. The DVD product listing on the same site<\/a><\/span> tells us little about what we\u2019ll find on the disc although certain omissions \u2013 no mention of a Blu-ray edition or extras \u2013 are par for the course with movies du C-U that swing a commercial release. We should still be happy for this outcome and cross our fingers that \u2018I DO,\u2019<\/strong> a well-attended New Art Film Festival<\/strong> selection<\/a><\/span> in 2016, will find an even wider audience than the one it has received after nearly two years of festival play. We\u2019ve discussed \u2018I DO\u2019<\/strong> both here<\/a><\/span> and here<\/a><\/span>, so we won\u2019t rehash the details at this time other than to say its acting, writing, production values, and music score all improve on JUMP IN<\/strong>, which is exactly what we\u2019d like to see from a budding writer\/producer\/director honing her craft. At the least we\u2019ll share the Maverick DVD art, featuring lead actors Jensen Atwood<\/strong> and Omar Gooding<\/strong>, to help fire you up for its appearance in stores and on merchant sites in a few weeks. We\u2019ll be awaiting word on which of Conner\u2019s screenplays in development, including the previously announced thriller LIPSTICK<\/strong> and horror story MACABRE<\/strong>, will become her next project to be greenlit.
