Morris<\/strong> of <strong>Urbana<\/strong> unveils his long-in-the-works book, <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Art Theater: Playing Movies for 100 Years<\/span><\/strong>, during the centennial celebration of the title venue in downtown <strong>Champaign, Illinois<\/strong>. Researched and co-authored with <strong>Joseph Muskin<\/strong> and <strong>Audrey Wells<\/strong>, the softcover volume is the first to be released under Morris\u2019 <a title=\"Champaign-Urbana Theater History :: Home Page\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cutheaterhistory.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Champaign-Urbana Theater History<\/span><\/strong><\/a> imprint and one of the only publications of its kind devoted to the legacy and cultural impact of a single movie house in the region. It traces the origin of the Art from before its first day of business as the <strong>Park Theatre<\/strong> on <strong>November 12, 1913<\/strong>, to its current iteration as a cooperative funded by community members. <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">C-U Blogfidential<\/span><\/strong> editor <strong>Jason Pankoke<\/strong> served as the layout designer for the book through his position at <strong>Adept Content Solutions<\/strong> in Urbana and contributed an afterword.
