{"id":123,"date":"2007-01-12T02:27:38","date_gmt":"2007-01-12T08:27:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/cublog\/?p=123"},"modified":"2014-09-06T15:01:19","modified_gmt":"2014-09-06T21:01:19","slug":"sirens-calls-again-red-ramps-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/cublog\/?p=123","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Sirens&#8221; calls again, RED ramps up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\">Once again, it seems that your humble editor&#8217;s words are worthy enough to be reproduced outside the friendly confines of <strong>MICRO-FILM<\/strong> and <strong>C-U Blogfidential<\/strong>, and\u00a0it took\u00a0some folks from the Hoosier State to help make it happen.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Hitting the newsstands about a month ago, the new issue of <strong><a title=\"Sirens of Cinema :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sirensofcinema.com\/v1\/\" target=\"_blank\"><u>Sirens of Cinema<\/u><\/a><\/strong> magazine (vol.2 no.6) from <strong>RAK Media Group, Inc.<\/strong>, of Indiana, features my profile of British-born actress <strong>Fiona Horsey<\/strong>, whose work finally reached the United States last year in the <strong><a title=\"MTI Home Video :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mtivideo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">MTI Home Video<\/a><\/strong> releases <strong>ANGST<\/strong> and <strong>TWISTED SISTERS<\/strong>. Currently playing a nun in a <em>telenovela<\/em> while living with extended family in Bogota, Columbia, Miss Horsey has raised eyebrows amongst the horror\/underground crowd with her gutsy portrayals in the aforementioned films. Thanks to publisher <strong>Robert Kupier<\/strong> and editor <strong>Mike Watt<\/strong> (the stage-blood-slingin&#8217; Mike Watt, not the econo-jammin&#8217; Mike Watt) for accepting me into the fold, meaning that my prior <strong>SoC<\/strong> article (see item: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/cublog\/?p=64\">6\/24\/06<\/a>) wasn&#8217;t a one-shot deal. <em>Whew<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Sirens of Cinema magazine (RAK Media Group, Inc.) and RETURN IN RED (Image Entertainment)\" alt=\"Sirens of Cinema magazine (RAK Media Group, Inc.) and RETURN IN RED (Image Entertainment)\" src=\"http:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/Images\/CUBlog%20Art\/cu_soc6_returnred.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Hitting the video shelves about a month from now will be <strong>RETURN IN RED<\/strong>, a psychological thriller-science fiction hybrid from Indianapolis-based <strong><a title=\"Innerworld Pictures :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.geocities.com\/tylertharpe\/\" target=\"_blank\">Innerworld Pictures<\/a><\/strong> that I have covered in the last three issues of <strong>MICRO-FILM<\/strong>. Thanks to director <strong>Tyler Tharpe<\/strong>, the DVD release from <strong><a title=\"Image Entertainment :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.image-entertainment.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Image Entertainment<\/a><\/strong> will feature those very articles as an extra! I wanted dearly to draft a wrap-up piece for the disc so that viewers weren&#8217;t left hanging, but I guess we&#8217;ll all have to read about it in the next <strong>MICRO-FILM<\/strong> instead, won&#8217;t we? Start saving your pennies for the occasion.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Finally, for those who might wonder whether I am capable of writing anything without the words &#8220;movie,&#8221; &#8220;cinema,&#8221; &#8220;independent,&#8221; or &#8220;film&#8221; in it, look no further than my <strong>MySpace<\/strong> page, <strong><a title=\"Jason Pankoke's profile @ MySpace.com\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/landofjapan\" target=\"_blank\">The Land of JaPan<\/a><\/strong>.
