Originally filmed during the summer of 1993 in various local haunts and the dense student housing area to the west of the <strong>University of Illinois<\/strong> campus in <strong>Champaign-Urbana<\/strong>, this micro-budget endeavor relies on 16-millimeter grain, nonlinear cuts, tonal soundscapes, and the fa\u00e7ade of everyday normality to describe the life of a trash collector by day and serial killer by night as played by <strong>James Meredith<\/strong>. Director <strong>Hart D. Fisher<\/strong> amassed the tools and skills to shape <strong>THE GARBAGE MAN<\/strong> into releasable form while he gravitated from self-publishing under his <strong>Boneyard Press<\/strong> imprint in <strong>Illinois<\/strong> to learning commercial video production in <strong>California<\/strong>, <a title=\"\u2018[Interview] Hart D. Fisher Goes Off About My Chemical Romance\u2019s Gerard Way, Kickstarter, and Fangoria\u2019 by BigJ :: Bloody-Disgusting\" href=\"https:\/\/bloody-disgusting.com\/news\/3277602\/interview-hart-d-fisher-goes-off-about-my-chemical-romances-gerard-way-kickstarter-and-fangoria\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">telling the horror culture website <strong>Bloody-Disgusting<\/strong> in 2014<\/span><\/a> that a sneak preview of <strong>THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT<\/strong> reignited his fire to finish it. Indie-Pictures did not provide many favors to Fisher or <strong>THE GARBAGE MAN<\/strong> apart from producing the disc itself; never listing or promoting the product on its website, <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"Indie-Pictures @ Typepad\" href=\"https:\/\/indiepictures.typepad.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">weblog<\/a><\/span>, or <a title=\"Todd Taylor (former Indie-Pictures CEO) @ YouTube\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCZxtesvdQRJcLHXRhiLbWIA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">YouTube<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\"> account<\/span><\/a>, the company apparently went defunct a short while after the street date.
