This comes on the heels of the other area stores in Urbana, Danville<\/strong>, and Rantoul<\/strong> ceasing to do business after Monday, October 19<\/strong>, which I did not know about until now because I missed a prior N-G<\/span> report on it<\/a><\/span> and my Confidential agents are slipping horribly with feeding me the timely grapevine tips as of late. This means we will enter 2021 without a stand-alone rental emporium, most likely for the first time since they began dotting the strip malls of the United States<\/strong> in the mid-Eighties. You can still check out physical media from Champaign Public Library, Urbana Free Library<\/strong>, and the University of Illinois Library<\/strong> as well as purchase used copies from Exile on Main Street<\/strong> and Disc Replay<\/strong>. You can also patronize Family Video online if you remain a fan<\/a><\/span>, although they don\u2019t offer a streaming option like so many of you value. Seems the days of walking, standing, and crouching to browse for something to watch in a space dedicated to the activity is truly in the past.
