News broke on <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Deadline<\/span><\/strong> this past <strong>Wednesday, July 7<\/strong>, that <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"\u2018\u2018Faust\u2019: Animated Series Based On Comic In Works At Sony Pictures Television From Matteo Pizzolo\u2019 by Alexandra Del Rosario :: Deadline\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2021\/07\/faust-animated-series-tim-vigil-david-quinn-comics-sony-pictures-television-matteo-pizzolo-1234787804\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Sony Pictures Television<\/strong> is developing an animated show<\/a><\/span> based on <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Faust<\/span><\/strong>, the adult horror-superhero comic from the Eighties created by <strong>Tim Vigil<\/strong> and <strong>David Quinn<\/strong>. And then, we rewind to <strong>Friday, June 25<\/strong>, when <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"HEAVY METAL PARKING LOT collectibles, posted 6\/25\/21 :: Lunchmeat VHS @ Facebook\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/LunchmeatVHS\/posts\/1810262435818338\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the analog lovers at <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Lunchmeat VHS<\/span><\/strong> announced via <strong>Facebook<\/strong><\/a><\/span> they were offering a short run of collector\u2019s items to celebrate the 35th anniversary of <strong>HEAVY METAL PARKING LOT<\/strong>, <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"HEAVY METAL PARKING LOT @ Vimeo\" href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/152843738\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the seminal underground documentary short<\/a><\/span> by <strong>Jeff Krulik<\/strong> and <strong>John Heyn<\/strong> that we covered in<strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">MF<\/span> 6<\/strong>; <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"Lunchmeat VHS :: Home Page\" href=\"https:\/\/lunchmeatvhs.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">while t-shirts remain<\/a><\/span>, the snappy hand-decorated cassettes are already sold out. <em>Not<\/em> sold out are the mass-produced DVDs and Blu-ray discs sitting in the storehouses of media merchants everywhere and, at times, it pays to look at their listings a bit carefully. I received my first <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"Oldies.com :: Home Page\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oldies.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Oldies.com<\/strong><\/a><\/span> mail-order catalog the other day and, despite the company\u2019s handle, there is a good amount of contemporary non-<strong>Hollywood<\/strong> material in their inventory. It includes <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"\u2018The Double Life of a Cin\u00e9aste\u2019 by Tyler Tharpe :: C-U Blogfidential\" href=\"https:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/cublog\/?cat=594\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">former <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">CUBlog<\/span><\/strong> contributor<\/a><\/span> <strong>Tyler Tharpe<\/strong>\u2019s second film, <strong>RETURN IN RED<\/strong>, which sports a blink-and-you\u2019ll-miss-me cameo and appears in <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">MF<\/span> 6<\/strong> and <strong>7<\/strong>. <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"RETURN IN RED @ Oldies.com\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oldies.com\/product-view\/75854M.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Only costs $3.98 plus shipping!<\/a><\/span> (<em>Except<\/em> that it\u2019s out of stock when you look at the online product page. <em>Ugh<\/em>.
