VinSyn previously welcomed to the club <strong>Mitch Brown<\/strong> and <strong>Roger Ebert\u2019s Film Festival<\/strong> producer <strong>Nate Kohn<\/strong>, who <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"SHOT BD provides thud-filled rush :: C-U Blogfidential\" href=\"https:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/cublog\/?p=12026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">provided onscreen anecdotes about <strong>SHOT<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, their UIUC cop movie satire made primarily by students in 1972, for <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"SHOT :: Vinegar Syndrome\" href=\"https:\/\/vinegarsyndrome.com\/products\/shot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">that film\u2019s 2018 reissue<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We\u2019ll also award a \u201cgood egg\u201d honorable mention to the company\u2019s <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"Home Grown Horrors, Volume 1 :: Vinegar Syndrome\" href=\"https:\/\/vinegarsyndrome.com\/products\/home-grown-horrors-volume-one\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u201c<strong>Home Grown Horrors, Volume 1<\/strong>\u201d<\/a><\/span> release from April that packages together a few examples of Eighties backyard cinema: <strong>BEYOND DREAM\u2019S DOOR<\/strong> made in <strong>Ohio<\/strong>, <strong>WINTERBEAST<\/strong> made in <strong>Massachusetts<\/strong>, and <strong>FATAL EXAM<\/strong> made in <strong>Missouri<\/strong>. Other than the great concept and creative selections, I\u2019m happy to see the highly imperfect <strong>FATAL EXAM<\/strong> brought back for a second life and allotted a spiffy <strong>Tom Hodge<\/strong> cover that\u2019s much better than the one I painted for the movie\u2019s only prior berth, a clamshell VHS offered by <strong>Salt City Home Video<\/strong> (presently <strong>SRS Cinema<\/strong>) in 1998.
