We trust in her choices to be illuminating.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Going to end on a bummer note, we are, but presumably all will be resolved by the spring when <strong>Roger Ebert\u2019s Film Festival<\/strong> is set to return after yet another delay, thanks to pandemic concerns. <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"\u2018Ebertfest rescheduled due to COVID-19 concerns\u2019 :: Illinois News Bureau\" href=\"https:\/\/news.illinois.edu\/view\/6367\/369563761\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Not really addressed in the statements by <strong>Chaz Ebert<\/strong> and the U<\/a><\/span>I is if the works made by the winners of the <strong>No Malice Film Contest<\/strong> will also sit dormant until late April; <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"\u2018Meet the Winners of the Inaugural No Malice Film Contest\u2019 by Chaz Ebert :: RogerEbert.com\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rogerebert.com\/chazs-blog\/meet-the-winners-of-the-inaugural-no-malice-film-contest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">introduced in depth by Ebert in a \u2018blog post two weeks ago<\/a><\/span>, the young people highlighted in the empathy-minded program were to have their films premiered at \u201c<strong>Ebertfest<\/strong>\u201d as part of the prize. (Originally, <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"No Malice Film Contest :: Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum\" href=\"https:\/\/presidentlincoln.illinois.gov\/learn\/junior-historians\/no-malice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the public debut was to have been hosted in July by a co-sponsor, the <strong>Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum<\/strong> in <strong>Springfield<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, with \u201cEbertfest\u201d as follow-up exposure, but there is no apparent evidence of it.) We know that waiting seven months is an eternity when you\u2019re in a certain age bracket, so we hope the organizers and guest mentors behind this worthwhile exploration of the meaning of racial healing can find constructive ways to appease these kids and budding adults.
