First, <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"Calendar :: Normal Theater\" href=\"http:\/\/www.normaltheater.com\/calendar.aspx?CID=21,24,14,22,23,\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">be sure to skim the schedule of the <strong>Normal Theater<\/strong> in downtown <strong>Normal<\/strong><\/a><\/span>; they\u2019re basically taking over \u201cShocktober\u201d from the late <strong>Art Theater<\/strong> without the branding, but <strong>Halloween<\/strong> movies <em>are<\/em> Halloween movies and therefore welcome<em> en masse<\/em>, right? The presence of a <strong>Rankin-Bass<\/strong> puppet animation (<strong>MAD MONSTER PARTY<\/strong>), a <strong>Godzilla<\/strong> all-star romp (<strong>DESTROY ALL MONSTERS<\/strong>), vintage frighteners from <strong>Joe Dante<\/strong> and <strong>David Cronenberg<\/strong> (<strong>THE HOWLING, THE BROOD<\/strong>), one of my favorite Eighties movies (<strong>BEETLEJUICE<\/strong>), and possibly the best pre-1970 horror anthology ever (<strong>DEAD OF NIGHT<\/strong>) shows the programmers are happily thinking outside the coffin. And then, <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"\u201931 Slays of Halloween, Slay 1\u2019 :: The Chase &amp; Shep Show @ YouTube\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/k3xLgwDh3pc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">check out yours truly discussing another Eighties favorite<\/a><\/span>, <strong>KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE<\/strong>, on the <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Chase &amp; Shep Show<\/span><\/strong> with hosts <strong>Chase Todd<\/strong> and <strong>Aaron Sheppard<\/strong>; I may appear one or two more times in this run of \u201c<strong>31 Slays<\/strong>\u201d episodes with 31 daily reviews of horror film standards through the end of October, so <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"C-U Confidential @ Facebook\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/cuconfidential\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">watch <strong>Facebook<\/strong> for announcements<\/a><\/span>.
