First and foremost, veteran rock documentary producers Gorman Berchard<\/strong> and Fred Uhter<\/strong> will be hosting the world premiere of WHERE ARE YOU, JAY BENNETT?<\/strong> at the Davis Theater<\/strong> in Chicago<\/strong> next Monday, November 15<\/strong>; you can visit Eventive<\/strong> to purchase a sliding-scale ticket<\/a><\/span> to the 7 p.m.<\/strong> show and read details about a tribute concert afterwards at the Carbon Arc Bar & Board<\/strong> next door. Helped along by CUBlog<\/span><\/strong> friend and former Bennett collaborator Edward Burch<\/strong>, JAY BENNETT<\/strong> has been more than four years in the making<\/a><\/span>. Secondly, fellow CUBlog<\/span><\/strong> friend Steve Christopher<\/strong> shared last week on Facebook<\/strong> that a conspiracy-themed series called WRATH & RITUALS<\/strong> is currently taping episodes in downstate Lincoln<\/strong><\/a><\/span>; director Candice T. Cain<\/strong> of Gemelli Films<\/strong> in Brookhaven, NY<\/strong>, returned to the area with her crew after doing location work in nearby Morton<\/strong> back in May. That Gemelli feature, BAKING UP LOVE<\/strong>, has already premiered on Amazon Prime<\/strong><\/a><\/span> and Pure Flix<\/strong>, an example of the company feeding its faith-based target audience with fast-paced precision<\/a><\/span>. To close, the Central Illinois Film Commission<\/strong> has arranged for \u201cThe Hollywood Experience<\/strong>\u201d to take place this Sunday, November 14<\/strong>, starting 1 p.m.<\/strong> at the Hoogland Center for the Arts<\/strong> in downtown Springfield<\/strong>, presumably to coincide with the Route 66 Film Festival<\/strong>. Considering how they\u2019ve pretty much shut down a social media presence \u2013 their Twitter<\/strong><\/a><\/span> has been dormant since 2019 and the Facebook group<\/a><\/span> is not exactly a fount of free-flowing information \u2013 it apparently will cost CIFC members $25 and non-members $50 to hear tales of the trade from a roll call of long-time CIFC participants: Jim Conover, Bill Homel, Eric Hector, Tim Lynn, Robert Bartel<\/strong>, and more. The membership will also net access to an e-mail digest and other bonus resources.
