At the expense of<strong> Ye Ed<\/strong> enjoying a low-key, two-night stay in the C-U last weekend for the first time in several years \u2013 yes, <em>years<\/em> \u2013 it will all be worth it as long as you keep checking in with <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">CUBlog<\/span><\/strong>, dearest readers. Instead of the traditional three items and out, we\u2019ll add one more for four since we missed a step, and expect us to provide a <strong>Halloween<\/strong>-themed update next time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">First, <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">CUZine<\/span><\/strong> friend <strong>Sarah Christensen<\/strong> has organized a new <strong>Small Press Fest<\/strong> through her position at UIUC and <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"Small Press Fest 2023 :: Home Page\" href=\"https:\/\/illinoislibraries.wixsite.com\/smallpressfestcu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">it takes place between <strong>October 26<\/strong> and <strong>28<\/strong><\/a><\/span>; set for Thursday is a keynote speech by<strong> Ben Denzer<\/strong> at <strong>Krannert Art Museum<\/strong> (<strong>Room 62, 5:30 p.m.<\/strong>), scheduled for Friday is a meet-and-greet-and-zine at the <strong>Prairie Glass House<\/strong> in rural north <strong>Champaign<\/strong> (<strong>6-8 p.m.<\/strong>) that we didn\u2019t even know was a place to be until now, and arranged for Saturday is the festival itself at <strong>Lincoln Square Mall<\/strong> of <strong>Urbana<\/strong> (<strong>11 a.m.-4 p.m.<\/strong>) where tabling, talks, and walks through <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"The Art Coop, Inc. @ Facebook\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/artcoop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a related exhibit at the <strong>Art Coop<\/strong><\/a><\/span> can be enjoyed. And then, producer <strong>Bob Zimmerman<\/strong> has been adding segments of his 2012 C-U rock music documentary <strong>OUT OF NOWHERE<\/strong> to <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"Videos :: \u2018RAZ Films TV\u2019 channel @ YouTube\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@razfilmstv\/videos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his \u201c<strong>RAZ Films TV<\/strong>\u201d <strong>YouTube<\/strong> channel<\/a><\/span> and the first hour is available to watch; you can also view a sampling of his other work that includes concert footage, train videos, and interviews with U.S. military veterans.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Elsewhere, <strong>Vinegar Syndrome<\/strong> has <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"\u2018Going Out of Print\u2019 page :: Vinegar Syndrome\" href=\"https:\/\/vinegarsyndrome.com\/collections\/going-out-of-print?page=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">moved their 2018 Blu-ray release of <strong>SHOT<\/strong> under a \u201cGoing Out of Print\u201d menu<\/a><\/span>, so fans of the student-made romp that was filmed on and off the UI campus in 1972-1973 might want to pick it up real soon; amusingly, one of the few other titles on the cusp is the video store staple <strong>WITCHTRAP<\/strong> that was recently remade by, of all people, <strong>ERASER<\/strong> director and <strong>SHOT<\/strong> lead actor <strong>Chuck Russell<\/strong>.
