First is <strong>AFTERLIFE<\/strong>, which will receive its official public debut at the <strong>Avon Theatre<\/strong> in downtown <strong>Decatur<\/strong> tonight, <strong>Friday, November 10<\/strong>, at<strong> 7 p.m.<\/strong> Directed by <strong>Ben Harl<\/strong> and produced by his company, <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"Silver Compass Studios :: Home Page\" href=\"https:\/\/silvercompassstudios.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Silver Compass Studios<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, the documentary follows along on his personal exploration to better understand \u201cwhat it means to die\u201d as a self-described skeptic and possibly help to temper the fear many feel about the inevitable. There is not much detail available on the internet right now about <strong>AFTERLIFE<\/strong>, such as <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"AFTERLIFE teaser :: \u2018Silver Compass Studios\u2019 channel @ YouTube\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/cBLUWSWmlY8?si=mkmk9KnzECYV9sfT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the individuals who appear in the film<\/a><\/span>, but Harl opens up to a point with deejay <strong>Shyler Kraus<\/strong> of <strong>Y103 FM<\/strong> in the Soy City on how the process of talking with professionals and everyday people, coming from all walks of life and with various strengths in their knowledge and experiences, <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"\u2018Ben Harl of Silver Compass Studios on AFTERLIFE\u2019 segment :: \u2018Shyler\u2019s Show\u2019 @ OmnyStudio\" href=\"https:\/\/omny.fm\/shows\/shyler-s-show\/ben-harl-of-silver-compass-studios-on-afterlife\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">has apparently changed his outlook for the better<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Having begun his own research and investigation for <strong>AFTERLIFE<\/strong> more than two years ago when the pandemic was still forcing everyone to be restrictive on gatherings, such as with film sets, Harl can now share the fruits of his self-discovery with the Avon faithful and whomever gets to glean from it next. Not too surprisingly, the movie house happens to be playing the recently released <strong>AFTER DEATH<\/strong> from <strong>Angel Studios<\/strong> \u2013 scheduling will allow for a double feature of both this evening if you\u2019re attending and so inclined \u2013 and reviews like these from <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"\u2018\u2018After Death\u2019 Review: A Faith-Based Documentary Pretends That the Afterlife Is Science\u2019 by Owen Gleiberman :: Variety\" href=\"https:\/\/www.indiewire.com\/criticism\/movies\/after-death-review-documentary-angel-studios-sound-of-freedom-1234919720\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">IndieWire<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/span> and <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"\u2018\u2018After Death\u2019 Review: A Faith-Based Documentary Pretends That the Afterlife Is Science\u2019 by Owen Gleiberman :: Variety\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2023\/film\/reviews\/after-death-review-1235774017\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Variety<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/span> have been quick to point out its overt proselytizing and foregone conclusions.
