We guess this is a thing, now? Waters has made special event appearances over the years, and we\u2019re sure they\u2019ve been totally worth it, while the \u201cNapoleon\u201d gang recently brought their three-man jam to the <strong>Egyptian Theatre<\/strong> up north in <strong>DeKalb<\/strong> over the summer, so it isn\u2019t new for them. We weren\u2019t kidding about the peanuts, either. It will cost the following to attend: $62-$72 for <strong>HAIRSPRAY<\/strong> and Waters, $24-$49 for <strong>NAPOLEON DYNAMITE<\/strong> and Team Pedro, and $29-$89 on up to a $159 VIP option for <strong>THE PRINCESS BRIDE<\/strong> and Elwes. If the cost added to dinner, travel, and possible lodging are worth it to you, have at it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>IMAGERY DU C-U | Picturing Our Scene on the Screen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We turn from the nostalgia for cult classics that <em>still<\/em> received a boost from <strong>Hollywood<\/strong> and made $80 million combined at the US box office to the here-and-now of two local indies stretching their legs as best they can and a surprise live performance the gorehounds will lap up. First,<strong> John Isberg<\/strong>\u2019s <strong>FINAL SUMMER<\/strong> will be screened again at <strong>Day of the Dead Chicago<\/strong>, taking place this weekend at the <strong>Crown Plaza O\u2019Hare<\/strong> in <strong>Rosemont<\/strong>, during the film festival portion on <strong>November 23<\/strong> at <strong>4 p.m.<\/strong> with costar <strong>Bishop Stevens<\/strong> in attendance. Then, <strong>Ash Hamilton<\/strong> and company\u2019s <strong>F\u2019D: TALES FROM THE END TIMES<\/strong> will be given its actual, for-real, red-carpet premiere at <strong>7:30 p.m.<\/strong> on Saturday at the <strong>Illinois Theater<\/strong> of <strong>Jacksonville<\/strong>, a town where some of the filming took place for the sci-fi\/horror anthology. And finally, nothing says Xmas quite like <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"Claudio Simonetti\u2019s Goblin :: Official Site\" href=\"https:\/\/goblinsimonetti.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Claudio Simonetti\u2019s Goblin<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, a modern iteration of the Italian prog-goth outfit that famously composed the soundtracks for numerous horror and <em>giallo<\/em> films by the likes of <strong>Dario Argento, Michele Soavi, Luigi Cozzi<\/strong>, and <strong>George A. Romero<\/strong>; they will play their last North American \u201c<strong>Ultimate Anthology<\/strong>\u201d gig of the year on <a title=\"The Canopy Club :: Home Page\" href=\"https:\/\/canopyclub.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Saturday, December 14<\/strong>, at the <strong>Canopy Club<\/strong> in <strong>Urbana<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, of all places. The tour name is due to the show being a pastiche of Goblin\u2019s screen work and other compositions recorded over their career.
