In another, <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Variety<\/span><\/strong> broke that <strong>WWE<\/strong> wrestling star <a title=\"\u2018CM Punk Joins Syfy Series \u2018Revival\u2019 (EXCLUSIVE)\u2019 by Joe Otterson :: Variety\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2024\/tv\/news\/cm-punk-syfy-series-revival-1236216698\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>CM Punk<\/strong> had been cast in the upcoming <strong>Syfy<\/strong> original series <strong>REVIVAL<\/strong><\/span><\/a> that is currently being filmed in <strong>Canada<\/strong> under the watch of <strong>Aaron B. Koonz<\/strong> and <strong>Luke Boyce<\/strong>, the latter of <strong>Shatterglass Studios<\/strong> and <strong>Flyover Film Studios<\/strong> in Champaign\/Rantoul. In yet another, the <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Collider<\/span><\/strong> entertainment site elected to <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"\u2018Roger Ebert Called This Extremely Low-Budget Drama One of the Greatest Films of the 2000s\u2019 by Zach Laws :: Collider\" href=\"https:\/\/collider.com\/chop-shop-movie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cite the late <strong>Roger Ebert<\/strong> and his love for <strong>CHOP SHOP<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, the low-budget \u201crealist\u201d drama from filmmaker <strong>Ramin Bahrani<\/strong> set on the streets of the <strong>Queens<\/strong> neighborhood in <strong>New York City<\/strong>; it was barely released to theaters in 2008 by <strong>Koch Lorber Films<\/strong> but found a large and receptive audience at Champaign\u2019s <strong>Virginia Theatre<\/strong> the next year during the eleventh <strong>Roger Ebert\u2019s Film Festival<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">And in one more, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Bloody Disgusting<\/span> paid tribute to another creative and native son from <strong>Illinois<\/strong>, <strong>Ray Bradbury<\/strong>, with a glowing review of <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"\u2018\u2018Simpsons Wicked This Way Comes\u2019 Is the Show\u2019s Best Anthology Episode in Years [Review]\u2019 by Daniel Kurland :: Bloody Disgusting\" href=\"https:\/\/bloody-disgusting.com\/reviews\/3840080\/simpsons-wicked-this-way-comes-is-the-shows-best-anthology-episode-in-years-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a new \u201c<strong>Treehouse of Horror<\/strong>\u201d episode on <strong>THE SIMPSONS<\/strong> entitled \u201c<strong>Simpsons Wicked This Way Comes<\/strong><\/a><\/span>;\u201d the <strong>Fox Network<\/strong> aired it last <strong>Sunday, November 24<\/strong>. Apparently, the final segment of the anthology special takes its cues from <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Fahrenheit 451<\/span><\/strong>, which was previously adapted for <strong>HBO<\/strong> a few years ago with <strong>Michael B. Jordan<\/strong> and <strong>Michael Shannon<\/strong> in the leads and Bahrani in the director\u2019s chair. <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"\u2018Tony Khan\u2019s obsession with wrestling began through G.I. Joe and The A-Team\u2019 by Manolo Has Pizzazz :: Cageside Seats\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cagesideseats.com\/aew\/2024\/11\/25\/24305039\/tony-khan-wrestling-obsession-started-gi-joe-a-team-new-full-gear-scrum-quote\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">For our finishing move this bout<\/a><\/span>, we have a colorful piece from <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Cageside Seats<\/span><\/strong> about the kinds of television that inspired a young <strong>Champaign-Urbana<\/strong> boy named <strong>Tony Khan<\/strong>, well before he took the reins at several professional sports operations and founded the popular <strong>All Elite Wrestling<\/strong>; <strong>G. I. JOE, THE A-TEAM<\/strong>, and <strong>World Wrestling Federation<\/strong> broadcasts were all favorites. Go figure, <em>brother<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We will probably play a little fast, loose, and brief with <strong>Reports<\/strong> over the next few weeks since it&#8217;s the end of the year. There are further local film developments that we\u2019re asked to not write about yet \u2013 \u201cugh\u201d to<em> la vida C-U<\/em> and movie business confidentiality, grumbles <strong>Mr. JaPan<\/strong> \u2013 but those breaking announcements and a nostalgic flashback track will be shared before 2025 chimes in.
