Very little policy was passed to help the American people, a pandemic response was fumbled badly, a revolving door of staff was established on the Hill, relations with key international bodies soured, and the appearances of chumming with bad actor leaders felt a bit gross coming from the alleged leader of the free world. Pardon our slip &#8230; it <em>all<\/em> felt gross.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">And yet, \u201cAmericans have spoken\u201d as of <strong>November 5<\/strong> of last year and we\u2019re apparently just fine with putting the putz and his baggage back into power. <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"\u20182020 Presidential Results\u2019 :: National Public Radio\" href=\"https:\/\/apps.npr.org\/elections20-interactive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Just like in 2020<\/a><\/span>, factual records prove the 47th president was <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"\u20182024 Presidential Election Results\u2019 :: The Associated Press\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/projects\/election-results-2024\/?office=P\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">duly chosen in the general election to take office<\/a><\/span> and uphold the constitution. As opposed to how things panned out between 2017 and 2021, we should expect the same 47th president to do his damnedest to bowl over government and the rule of law as we know it, telegraphing his intentions as he has for many months in advance and <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"\u2018Trump checks off major Day 1 campaign promises \u2014 leaving some on the to-do list\u2019 by Jake Traylor, Ben Kamisar, and Bridget Bowman :: NBC News\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/donald-trump\/trump-checks-major-day-1-campaign-promises-leaving-list-rcna188552\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">starting right in with the damage as of Monday night<\/a><\/span>.
