The following events are \u201ccoming soon\u201d in April and May; please support this diverse film programming in our community by attending and spreading the word. Multiplexes and television sets are no substitute for a true cinema experience!<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">We apologize if a few recent events slipped past us due to our focus on finishing up\u00a0<strong>C-U Confidential<\/strong> (which we&#8217;ll get back to in a few paragraphs) but now it&#8217;s time to lay down the lowdown on several immenent shows, most of local origin!<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">The <strong><a title=\"Illini Film &#038; Video :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.illinifilmandvideo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Illini Film &#038; Video<\/a><\/strong> club will host their end-of-semester show tomorrow, <strong>Sunday, April 22<\/strong>, <strong>1 p.m.<\/strong>, in the auditorium of <strong>Spurlock Museum, 600 S. Gregory St., Urbana, IL<\/strong>, on the <strong>University of Illinois<\/strong> campus.\u00a0This presentation is a featured event of the Champaign County-wide <strong>Boneyard Arts Festival<\/strong> which runs through the end of Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">A week from today, <strong>Saturday, April 28, 11 a.m.<\/strong>, <strong>R.C. Raycraft<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong><a title=\"INCIDENT AT KICKAPOO CREEK :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kickapoocreekmovie.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">INCIDENT AT KICKAPOO CREEK<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0will return\u00a0for its first C-U screening since 2005 at <strong>Boardman&#8217;s Art Theatre, 126 W. Church St., Champaign, IL<\/strong>. Raycraft tells <strong>CUBlog<\/strong> that he will be on hand to discuss the film, which is in its final form save for one additional interview he hopes to nail during &#8220;<strong>Ebertfest<\/strong>.&#8221; (We&#8217;ll let your mind wander as to who might be the interviewee.) <strong>KICKAPOO<\/strong> immediately precedes the <strong>1:30 p.m.<\/strong> showing of <strong>Michael Wiese<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>THE SACRED SITES OF THE DALAI LAMAS<\/strong> (see item: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/cublog\/?p=157\">3\/17\/07<\/a>)\u00a0at the Art, making for an unusual double bill of independent documentaries with local ties.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">One day later, <strong>Sunday, April 29<\/strong>, starting at <strong>10 p.m.<\/strong>, the one and only <strong>Jason Butler<\/strong> returns to his former home-away-from-home, <strong>Mike n&#8217; Molly&#8217;s, 105 N. Market St., Champaign, IL<\/strong>, to butter us up with <strong>WEREWOLF CEMETERY: Episode 2<\/strong> before unleashing the beast that is WEREWOLF CEMETERY:<strong> Episode 3<\/strong> for the first time anywhere. Weather permitting, the show will take place in the beer garden because, well, that&#8217;s just the way it should be. An encore\u00a0is scheduled for\u00a0the next evening, <strong>Monday, April 30<\/strong>, also at <strong>10 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Jumping to the following weekend, <strong>CNGM Pictures<\/strong> will present an exclusive downstate sneak preview of their movie <strong>NORMAL LIFE<\/strong> (see item: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/cublog\/?p=118\">1\/6\/07<\/a>) on the campus of <strong>Illinois State University<\/strong> in Normal. It will take place <strong>Sunday, May 6<\/strong>, and be open to the public; <a title=\"CNGM Pictures :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cngmpictures.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">watch the CNGM site<\/a> for location and time.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">And, finally, <strong>Roger Ebert&#8217;s <a title=\"Roger Ebert's Overlooked Film Festival :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ebertfest.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Overlooked Film Festival<\/a><\/strong> begins this <strong>Wednesday, April 25<\/strong>, and runs through <strong>Sunday, April 29<\/strong>, at the <strong>Virginia Theatre<\/strong> in downtown Champaign. Wait &#8230;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/cublog\/?p=160\">you didn&#8217;t know<\/a>? I understand that what you&#8217;re <em>really<\/em> concentrating on is snagging your very own FREE copy of <strong>CUZine<\/strong> #1\u00a0this coming week,\u00a0but, c&#8217;mon people.
