I&#8217;m not exactly sure what inspired such a coincidence &#8211; although it must be a sign that lo-fi mummies have <em>finally<\/em> been handed their pink slips &#8211; but I&#8217;m crossing my fingers that this upcoming effort will hold to its makers&#8217; promise and reanimate the proverbial dead horse that is the zombie horror film.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>ZOMBIE MOVIE <\/strong>will have its World Premiere this <strong>Friday, July 20, 7:30 p.m.<\/strong>, at the <strong>Lincoln Square Theatre, 141 N. Main St.<\/strong>, in downtown <strong>Decatur, IL<\/strong>, paired up with director <strong>Brandon Clayton<\/strong>&#8216;s prior short film, <strong>SIX DEGREES OF STARDOM OR HOW RONALD REAGAN REMEMBERS THE LIFE OF BRANDON CLAYTON<\/strong>. Admission will be free and refreshments available for purchase, including alcohol for the 21+ crowd &#8211; yet <em>another<\/em> welcome parallel to the recent <strong>Bloomington<\/strong> showing of <strong>LATE AFTERNOON OF THE LIVING DEAD<\/strong> (see item: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/cublog\/?p=181\">6\/8\/07<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"ZOMBIE MOVIE (Hazard Films\/747 Productions)\" alt=\"ZOMBIE MOVIE (Hazard Films\/747 Productions)\" src=\"http:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/Images\/CUBlog%20Art\/cu_zombiemovie_art.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Clayton filmed <strong>ZOMBIE MOVIE <\/strong>in his Illinois\u00a0hometown of <strong>Taylorville<\/strong> earlier this spring using the combined talents affiliated with his company, <strong>Hazard Films<\/strong>, and kindred spirits <strong>747 Productions<\/strong> (see item: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/cublog\/?p=127\">1\/26\/07<\/a>). The short examines\u00a0what happens when Yet Another Zombie Outbreak forces four\u00a0blue-collar workers\u00a0to quarantine themselves after being\u00a0&#8220;bitten&#8221; &#8211; metaphor-implying quotes courtesy of <a title=\"ZOMBIE MOVIE @ MySpace.com\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/zombiemoviethemovie\" target=\"_blank\">the film&#8217;s MySpace page<\/a> &#8211; and await the terrifying outcome.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">However, an even <em>more<\/em> frightening proposition can be found on <a title=\"Hazard Films :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hazardfilms.com\/index2.html\" target=\"_blank\">the News page of the Hazard Films Web site<\/a>, wherein the terribly excited filmmaker claims he will eat his shoe on-stage if\u00a0movie-lovers plant their posteriors in all of the Lincoln&#8217;s 1,100 seats.
