(<em>Remember that the direct link to this article will expire shortly.<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">~~~~~<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><em>Editor&#8217;s note:<\/em>\u00a0While the location of the Majestic totters somewhere between <strong>MICRO-FILM Country<\/strong> and the southernmost reaches of Chicagoland, I decided to highlight the occasion because I&#8217;m always happy to see the brick-and-mortar palaces resuscitated. New owner <strong>Kyle Mitchell<\/strong> will probably follow the typical plan of\u00a0showcasing first-run Hollywood fodder &#8211; and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/cublog\/?p=179\">you already know how\u00a0I feel about <em>them<\/em> apples<\/a> &#8211;\u00a0but at least he&#8217;s\u00a0exhibiting a little nerve\u00a0by scheduling the likes of <strong>HAIRSPRAY<\/strong> and <strong>YOU KILL ME<\/strong> right off the bat.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Also, I <em>finally<\/em> have my answer as to why the <strong><u>News-Gazette<\/u><\/strong> limits its on-line, non-<strong>Ebertfest<\/strong> movie coverage to\u00a0reports on area theaters. Can you guess where the <u>Pantagraph<\/u> editors filed the article linked above? If you said &#8220;Entertainment&#8221; then you&#8217;d be quite mistaken. I found it under &#8220;Money,&#8221; as in, &#8220;It&#8217;s about business, chump. Do you really think it&#8217;s about <em>cinema<\/em>?&#8221;\u00a0Oh.
