We\u2019d like you to step away for a few  moments from the glowing rectangle in front of you currently displaying  these words and <em>go outside<\/em>. Only return after you\u2019ve been  replenished by the cool autumn air, glowing sunshine, and fallen leaves  bursting with flavor. Consult the vineyard\u2019s Web site for driving directions and plan to be there in filmmaking solidarity!<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 3em; text-align: left;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>PHILANTHROPY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Coming from the same neck of the woods, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Innocent Words Magazine<\/strong><\/span> publisher <strong>Troy Michael<\/strong> <a title=\"2010 Riley Hospital for Children DVD drive :: Innocent Words Magazine\" href=\"http:\/\/www.innocentwords.com\/tabId\/807\/itemId\/1602\/Innocent-Words-Magazine-Hosts-DVD-Drive-for-Pediat.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">has announced that he will be accepting donations towards building a video library<\/a> at the <a title=\"Riley Hospital for Children :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/rileychildrenshospital.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Riley Hospital for Children<\/strong><\/a> and <strong>Indiana University Hospital<\/strong> in <strong>Indianapolis<\/strong>,  at which he received a vital kidney transplant as a child. Opening at  Riley in January is a new wing featuring private rooms and the Organ  Transplant unit, for which <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">IWM<\/span> is collecting DVDs from now until <strong>December 15<\/strong>.  Prior drives launched by Michel have resulted in money, books, art  supplies, and music finding their way to both institutions \u201call with a  simple goal of putting a smile on someone\u2019s face and making their  hospital stay a little more tolerable,\u201d he explains in a statement. DVDs  should be good-to-new condition in their original cases and can be  suitable for children or adults, although recent movies are preferred  and graphic material should be avoided for obvious reasons. We\u2019ll just give you our first impressions of the new \u201cMad About the Movies\u201d column by <strong>UIUC <\/strong>cinema professor emeritus <strong>Richard J. Leskosky<\/strong> which made its debut in the <strong>Sunday, October 17<\/strong> edition. An introduction promises a bi-monthly exploration of \u201ctrends  on the silver screen as well as provid[ing] historical perspective on  the industry\u201d while the inaugural piece name-drops famous industry  veterans who grew up in, filmed in, or possibly dreamed about filming in  <strong>Illinois <\/strong>before invariably finding their way to the West Coast  to make their indelible marks. As typical of Leskosky\u2019s writing, \u201cMAtM\u201d  is well considered and chock full of details so it has the potential to  become a nice body of singular cinema writing if the author sticks with  it. We couldn\u2019t help but notice the very last paragraph which states,  \u201cIn a future column in this series, I will take a look at some  filmmakers who have tried to go their own independent ways without  leaving the state.\u201d Intrigued?
