Jacobs<\/strong> and written and produced by <strong>C-U Blogfidential<\/strong> contributor <strong>Robin Christian<\/strong>, the best we can tell you about the product streeting nationwide on <strong>Tuesday, January 18<\/strong>, through <strong>Questar Home Video<\/strong> is that the finalized cover art has been appearing on Internet merchant sites. Behold:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"SHEEBA (Questar Home Video)\" src=\"http:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/Images\/CUBlog Art\/cu_sheeba_dvd.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"654\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The release title for this locally-made production, formerly known as <strong>CRAB ORCHARD<\/strong> (the fictional small town in which most of the film takes place) and <strong>SO OTHERS MAY LIVE<\/strong> (the real-life firefighter\u2019s motto), comes from the name of the dog given feisty young lad Clay (<strong>Dylan Patton<\/strong>) by his mother Kim (<strong>Ruby Handler<\/strong>) and grandfather Cecil (<strong>Ed Asner<\/strong>). While Sheeba helps warm the boy\u2019s heart to life in the Midwest after his emotional move away from New York City and workaholic fireman father Jim (<strong>Judge Reinhold<\/strong>), she does not figure prominently until the story\u2019s second half and has obviously been promoted to top dog in the film\u2019s marketing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Strangely, the <strong>SHEEBA <\/strong>key art resembles that of a <strong>Disney <\/strong>\u201cwilderness adventure\u201d movie circa 1970, saturating the DVD cover with wholesomeness if the huge <strong>Dove Foundation<\/strong> \u201cseal of approval\u201d doesn\u2019t <a title=\"SHEEBA review :: The Dove Foundation\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dove.org\/reviewpopup.asp?Unique_ID=8501\" target=\"_blank\">get the point across first<\/a>. This is hardly deceptive advertising since <strong>SHEEBA <\/strong>is a true family film and concludes with a protracted outdoors sequence set in the woods.
