Everyone can keep up with the <strong>Stardust Drive-In<\/strong>&#8216;s play dates at <a title=\"Stardust Drive-In @ 21stCinemas.com\" href=\"http:\/\/www.21stcinemas.com\/Stardust.htm\" target=\"_blank\">this Web site<\/a>; the address is <strong>375 N. 14th St., Charleston<\/strong>, and the show hotline is <strong>(217) 345-5900<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Examining\u00a0the slightly bigger picture, McSparin&#8217;s <strong>21st Century Cinemas<\/strong> company seems to be an experiment in managing Illinois theaters in smaller markets, although its strength in numbers is apparently limited.\u00a0Information found on\u00a0<a title=\"21st Century Cinemas :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.21stcinemas.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">this Web site<\/a> reveals that the Stardust joins the <strong>Plaza 4<\/strong> in <strong>Dixon<\/strong> and\u00a0the <strong>Roxy 6<\/strong> in <strong>Ottawa<\/strong> as the company&#8217;s operational houses while <strong>Mac&#8217;s Drive-In<\/strong>\u00a0of <strong>Salem<\/strong> is listed as being &#8220;under new management&#8221; and the <strong>Heart<\/strong> in <strong>Effingham<\/strong> (see item: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/cublog\/?p=158\">3\/24\/07<\/a>) and <strong>Sterling Cinemas<\/strong> in <strong>Sterling<\/strong> are currently &#8220;for sale or lease.&#8221; We&#8217;ll trust that reasonable circumstances lie behind the 0.500 batting average and leave it at that.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">These\u00a0local vintage theaters aren&#8217;t the only ones up on the block, by the way.
