Once again, Jason Butler<\/strong> will whip out some\u00a0older Brainsmart Productions<\/strong> later tonight, Monday, September 22, 9 p.m.<\/strong>, at Mike n’ Molly’s, 105 N. Market St., Champaign<\/strong>, in order to stir up interest in WEREWOLF CEMETERY: Issue 4<\/strong>, which he is currently shooting about town. Following a reprise of\u00a0WC 1<\/strong>\u00a0will be everyone’s favorite hum-ant movie musical, THORAXX II: THE BREEDING<\/strong> (10 p.m.<\/strong>), and the rip-roaring WC 2<\/strong> (12 a.m.<\/strong>) which introduces everyone from\u00a0ExtermoCorp to Agents Sparrow and Mantis.<\/p>\n

\"WEREWOLF<\/p>\n

This show will be free admission but please<\/em> help JB take advantage of\u00a0the pledge by bar owner Mike Murphy<\/strong> to match every dollar placed in the\u00a0Brainsmart Tip Jar\u00a0throughout the evening. What is the money for, you ask? Make-up, costumes, props, and blank tapes\u00a0don’t grow on trees, hoss,\u00a0so it’s simply time to help a filmmaking brother out.<\/p>\n

As proof in the blood red pudding, we offer up another exclusive set photo from WC 4<\/strong> as JB explains to The Living Blue<\/strong>‘s Steve Ucherek<\/strong> an intense scene between his character, Ichabob, and the ancient warlord, the Thane. We’re still not sure why exactly werewolf Kelley Wegeng-Shimmin<\/strong> was staring down Ucherek’s eardrum, but we obviously digress…<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, my equivalent to the music scene in Champaign-Urbana<\/strong>, closet WC<\/strong>\u00a0groupie\u00a0Todd J. Hunter<\/strong>, managed to creatively plug the series on-line.\u00a0It seems that Hunter won a sharp looking T-shirt from The Horrors of It All<\/strong>, a Weblog showcasing non-EC<\/strong> horror comics from the Fifties, and a THOIA\u00a0editor invited\u00a0our man\u00a0to send in a photograph of himself wearing the shirt. Right here you will find<\/a> that THOIA not only posted two snaps of\u00a0Hunter\u00a0being gnawed by a Mark Peaslee<\/strong> original but also doctored one of them to reveal our man’s true nature.<\/p>\n

Finally, adding extra value to Mike n’ Molly’s evening of cultural outpouring\u00a0will be The Abe Froman Project<\/a><\/strong>, a local improv quintet who will perform upstars beginning at 9 p.m.<\/strong> up until THORAXX II<\/strong> time. Froman is\u00a0comprised of Matt Fear, Nate Jones, Mike Prosise<\/strong>, the too-cute Katie Baldwin<\/strong>, and the irresistably hot Mikel Matthews, Jr.<\/strong> I can’t believe I just typed that last part but, since he’s a movie-maker too, it must<\/em> be true.<\/p>\n
