Please support the artists and their work, attend screenings and events, and otherwise become active in our esoteric little world!<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">~~~~~<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>MFHQ &amp; YOU:<br \/>\nIt\u2019s Time for CUBiz: The Short Form!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Copious amounts of <strong>C-U Confidential<\/strong> copies walked away with lucky conventioneers who visited the tables of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Bachelor Pad Magazine<\/strong><\/span> and <strong>Kill Vampire Lincoln Productions<\/strong> at last weekend\u2019s <strong>Wizard World Chicago Comic-Con<\/strong>, during which your humble editor reconnected with past contributors to our semi-empire: comics author <strong>Eric Rampson<\/strong>, who wrote for <strong>MICRO-FILM 2<\/strong>, and sculptor\/artist <strong>Jennifer Gutowski<\/strong>, who appeared in <strong>MF 1<\/strong> as our first-ever micro-<em>femme<\/em>! We had a blast visiting the ol\u2019 pop culture stomping grounds and thank <strong>Java <\/strong>of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">BPM<\/span> and <strong>Chris <\/strong>and <strong>Anne Lukeman<\/strong> of Kill Vampire Lincoln for allowing us presence at their displays. Right now we\u2019re back to work downstate, distributing the remaining <em>gratis <\/em>copies of <strong>CUZine<\/strong> <strong>issue 5<\/strong> around the C-U as well as resuming work on the <strong>C-U Confidential \u201999<\/strong> special issue. Watch next week for the first official word on<strong> CU99<\/strong>, including a street date!<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 3em; text-align: left;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>ITEM OF THE WEEK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">While we conquered <strong>Chicago<\/strong>, question marks popped into place over many a concerned movie-goer\u2019s head on Sunday afternoon when <a title=\"The Art Theater :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thecuart.com\/index.cfm\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Art Theater<\/strong><\/a> operator <strong>Sanford Hess<\/strong> gave a presentation outlining the best bets for her survival.
