(Yes, that happens to be the same week we\u2019ve elected to resume regular <strong>CUBlog <\/strong>posting <em>and <\/em>the <strong>LEADING LADIES<\/strong> DVD arrives at retailers nationwide <em>and <\/em>the <strong>Route 66 Film Festival<\/strong> takes on <strong>Springfield<\/strong>, so we\u2019re going to be super-swamped instead of <em>merely <\/em>swamped!) On with the skinny, courtesy of incoming Festival Director <strong>Chris Lukeman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">~ Jason Pankoke<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 3em;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>From July 27, 2011:<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>IMC Film Festival Announces \u201cCall for Submissions\u201d for<br \/>\nThird Annual Event to Take Place on September 15-17, 2011,<br \/>\nin Urbana, Illinois!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>URBANA, IL<\/strong> \u2013 The <strong>Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center<\/strong> is proud to announce that it will host the third annual <strong>IMC Film Festival<\/strong> on <strong>September 15, 16<\/strong>, and <strong>17, 2011<\/strong>, and is now accepting submissions! This celebration of the art of cinematography will once again highlight local and regional independent artists, giving them an opportunity to share their work and connect with other artists, community members, and organizations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Interested filmmakers are invited to submit their works by e-mailing <strong>imcfilmfest [at] gmail [dot] com<\/strong>. Filmmakers will be contacted with a submission form and more details.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">All films must be received at the IMC office by <strong>Thursday, August 25, 2011<\/strong>, before <strong>5 p.m.<\/strong> to be considered for the 2011 program.
