Wednesday\u00a0night, IMC Film Festival<\/strong> co-director Nicole Pion<\/strong> sent out the final schedule which we’ve reproduced after the jump. Those who want the nitty gritty about their\u00a0movie choices can find more information posted here<\/a>; otherwise, dive right in between tonight, Friday, February 6, 6 p.m.<\/strong>, and Sunday, February 8, 10 p.m.<\/strong>, at the Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center, 202 S. Broadway Ave.<\/strong>, in downtown Urbana<\/strong>.\u00a0I’m starting to have flashbacks that are a little bit freaky<\/em> … and it feels good.<\/p>\n

Twenty-eight indie films, two all-ages classics, one DJ, two jazz musicians, one multi-media installation, one improv troupe, several discussion sessions, and one artist’s lecture by the funtastic Laura Zinger<\/strong> will comprise the bill, sponsored by Strawberry Fields, Common Ground Food Co-op, La Gourmandise, One World Pizza, Shatterglass Studios, Mirabelle Fine Pastries\/Bakery, That’s Rentertainment<\/strong>, and the two-headed threat of MICRO-FILM<\/strong> and C-U Blogfidential<\/strong>. The UCIMC itself is sponsored in part by Community Shares<\/strong> and the Illinois Arts Council<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

CUBlog<\/strong> sincerely thanks Pion and Stephen Fonzo<\/strong>, along with their volunteers, sponsors, and contributing filmmakers, for staging the IMC Film Festival. We hope that it helps revitalize the need in our community to experience and contemplate non-traditional, creative, and ephemeral media as well as inspires us to take up that camera and call, “Action!”<\/p>\n
