Even though we provided you with a lengthy lowdown<\/a> on visiting filmmaker Cory McAbee<\/strong><\/a> (THE AMERICAN ASTRONAUT, STINGRAY SAM<\/strong>) two days ago, we decided there is no harm in reminding you his key Champaign-Urbana<\/strong> appearance takes place tonight, Thursday, January 24<\/strong>, starting at 7:30 p.m.<\/strong>! The Champaign-Urbana Film Society<\/strong><\/a> will present McAbee\u2019s newest feature-length creation,<\/a> CRAZY & THIEF<\/strong>, at the Art Theater Co-op, 126 W. Church St., Champaign<\/strong>, in a free screening sponsored by the University of Illinois\u2019 Hendrick House<\/strong> and made possible by support from the Urbana Public Arts Grant<\/strong>. McAbee will then participate in a Q&A session with the audience. Please attend and support the efforts of CUFS to infuse a little extra film culture into the C-U tapestry! Apart from reprising the event details, we also needed an excuse to highlight the rather nifty pop-art promotional poster designed by Matt Wiley<\/strong><\/a> for McAbee\u2019s appearances.<\/p>\n
