It offered the debut of nine movie shorts made by local filmmakers from scripts written and submitted by pre-college students for the first CUFS <a title=\"Pens to Lens Screenwriting Competition :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.penstolens.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Pens to Lens Screenwriting Competition<\/strong><\/a>. The winning short will play the <strong>Chicago International Film Festival<\/strong> this October. Elsewhere, the <strong>Land of Lincoln Credit Union<\/strong> of <strong>Decatur<\/strong> invites movie-makers to send in shorts to their <a title=\"21 Film Project Short Film Contest :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.21filmproject.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>21 Film Project<\/strong><\/a> by <strong>July 15<\/strong>; multiple prizes and awards will be given and top films will play publicly at the downtown <strong>Decatur Celebration<\/strong> in early August. Many local talents including <strong>Danville<\/strong> filmmakers <strong>Mike<\/strong> and <strong>Leslie Boedicker<\/strong> recently worked with him on the dramatic feature <a title=\"HOUSE OF THADDEUS :: Official Site\" href=\"http:\/\/houseofthaddeus.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>HOUSE OF THADDEUS<\/strong><\/a>. Shot primarily in the theater veteran\u2019s seasonal home in Danville, the film also features Gardner in a supporting role.
