We\u2019d like to update you on a trio of projects receiving the vaunted <strong>C-U Blogfidential<\/strong> touch as we rumble spookily towards that time of year we adore wholeheartedly, <strong>Halloween<\/strong> season!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Up first is our formal confirmation that, <em>indeed<\/em>, the next issue of print companion <strong>C-U Confidential<\/strong> is on track to be placed in the hands of our trusted long-time printer, the <a title=\"Premier Print Group :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thepremierprintgroup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Premier Print Group<\/strong><\/a> of Champaign, next week! Our distribution plot is to engage in an immediate hard launch once we receive those sweet-smelling cartons back from Premier. <strong>CUZine #7<\/strong> will recap in detail all the recent film culture we can cram into 32 pages, including two special pieces we\u2019ll preview for you right now!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">An exclusive \u201cscene\u201d article will provide you with a rapid-fire guide to the upcoming regional festivals: the <strong>Freeky Creek Short Film Festival<\/strong> in <strong>Fairmount<\/strong> (<strong>October 31-November 2<\/strong>), the <strong>Route 66 International Film Festival<\/strong> in <strong>Springfield<\/strong> (<strong>November 1-2<\/strong>), the <strong>Drunken Zombie Film Festival<\/strong> in <strong>Peoria<\/strong> (<strong>November 2-3<\/strong>), and the <strong>Embarras Valley Film Festival<\/strong> in <strong>Charleston<\/strong> (<strong>November 7-9<\/strong>). Crossing fingers we can mop up our own bloody mess at the <strong>Secret MICRO-FILM Headquarters<\/strong> in time to visit DZFF in person; check them out if aggressive, full-on indie horror is your fall flavor of choice!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Another awesome spread in <strong>CUZine #7<\/strong> is a sneak peek at a local history title, <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Art Theater: Playing Movies for 100 Years<\/span><\/strong> by <a title=\"Write to Champaign Urbana Theater History Books!\" href=\"mailto:cutheaterhistory@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Perry C. Morris, Joe Muskin<\/strong>, and <strong>Audrey Wells<\/strong><\/a>, which will be unveiled two weeks after we street. During the <strong>6 p.m.<\/strong> \u201c100th anniversary\u201d program on <strong>Tuesday, November 12<\/strong>, at the <strong>Art Co-op, 126 W. Church St., Champaign<\/strong>, the authors will talk about and sell their 166-page labor of love recounting the Art\u2019s first century in existence. We can also reveal your humble editor had the distinct honor of designing <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Art Theater<\/span> at his daytime gig, <a title=\"Adept Content Solutions :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.adeptcontentsolutions.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Adept Content Solutions<\/strong><\/a> of Urbana.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">It is apparent from this convergence of activity in the C-U that everything Confidential is having a solid impact upon our homegrown culture, and for these opportunities we are grateful.
