Little more than a week from now, <strong>C-U Confidential<\/strong> and friends will be enjoying the fifth annual <strong>New Art Film Festival<\/strong> at the <strong>Art Theater Co-op<\/strong> in downtown Champaign, Illinois. Plan to make merry with our movie mavens on <strong>Sunday, April 13<\/strong>, from <strong>5 p.m.<\/strong> to approximately <strong>Midnight<\/strong>, during which the NAFF will present almost 30 short films and the feature-length political dramedy, <strong>THE DRUNK<\/strong>. The <strong>Champaign-Urbana<\/strong> community is invited to converge at the <strong><a title=\"The Art Theater Co-op :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.arttheater.coop\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Art Theater Co-op<\/span><\/a>, 126 W. Church St., Champaign, IL<\/strong>, for the fifth annual <a title=\"New Art Film Festival :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/newartfilmfestival.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>New Art Film Festival<\/strong><\/span><\/a> (NAFF), taking place alongside the <strong>Boneyard Arts Festival<\/strong> organized by the <strong>40 North 88 West arts<\/strong> council of <strong>Champaign County<\/strong>! Festival director <strong>Jason Pankoke<\/strong> will guide audiences through four programs, comprised of more than 20 films, in this annual celebration of independent cinema. This fictional tale concerns the battle of wills between Joe Debs (<strong>William Tanoos<\/strong>), the grandson of real-life <strong>Indiana<\/strong> radical labor leader <strong>Eugene V. Debs<\/strong>, and Bruce Frye (<strong>Tom Sizemore<\/strong>), a prosecutor who considers the younger Debs a drunkard and persistent menace to society.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>SRIRACHA<\/strong> \u2013 Film-loving foodies will salivate over <a title=\"SRIRACHA :: Official Site\" href=\"http:\/\/srirachamovie.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">this unique half-hour piece<\/span><\/a> by <strong>Bloomington, Illinois<\/strong>, producer and prolific Vidblog host <strong>Griffin Hammond<\/strong>! It examines the history and appeal of the curious hot sauce made famous in the United States by <strong>David Tran<\/strong> and <strong>Huy Fong Foods<\/strong> of <strong>California<\/strong>, eschewing traditional publicity for good old fashioned word-of-mouth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>THE ART OF PULLING<\/strong> \u2013 This beautiful, dreamlike music video set to the song by <a title=\"Elsinore :: Official Site\" href=\"http:\/\/www.elsinoremusic.net\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Elsinore<\/strong><\/span><\/a> was produced by <a title=\"Chris &amp; Oliver Cinema :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/chrisandoliver.com\/blog\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Chris &amp; Oliver Cinema<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, a.k.a. <strong>Christopher Sotelo<\/strong> and <strong>Oliver Peng<\/strong>, of Champaign.
