In my humble opinion,\u00a0<strong>Bloomington-Normal<\/strong> has been most conspicuous for its lack of a geographical filmography. Of course, there is <strong>R.C. Raycraft<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>INCIDENT AT KICKAPOO CREEK <\/strong>(see item: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/cublog\/?p=70\">7\/14\/06<\/a>),\u00a0a pair of recent micro-budget dramas (the just-finished <strong>ARTS &#038; SCIENCE <\/strong>and the on-again-off-again <strong>EL PERDIDO<\/strong>), and the trickle of student video projects eminating from <strong>Scott Rankin<\/strong>&#8216;s classes at <strong>Illinois State University<\/strong>. So, wait, there&#8217;s <em>more<\/em> going on\u00a0&#8220;over there,&#8221; right? No? Yes?<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Well,\u00a0<em>actually<\/em> &#8230;\u00a0<strong>NORMAL LIFE<\/strong> is a feature-length production coming soon from the Chicagoland no-budget outfit <strong>CNGM Pictures<\/strong>, shot over a tight two-week schedule this past May and\u00a0June in the downstate college town of its title. A 15-minute preview of <strong>NORMAL LIFE<\/strong> will debut tomorrow, <strong>Saturday, August 12, 7 p.m.<\/strong>, during the final screening day of <strong>MicrocinemaFest <\/strong>at <strong>Cutting Hall, 150 East Wood St., Palatine, IL<\/strong>. I will not be able to attend this happenin&#8217; little event to check out the goods, &#8220;normal&#8221; or otherwise,\u00a0but hopefully more information about <strong>NORMAL LIFE<\/strong>\u00a0and its creators will soon\u00a0float down <strong>C-U Blogfidential<\/strong> way.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Directed by CNGM Pictures co-founder <strong>Marc Muszynski<\/strong>, <strong>NORMAL LIFE<\/strong> is slated for a sneak-preview show in Normal during April 2007 and an official World Premiere in Palatine the following June, according to the <a title=\"CNGM Pictures :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cngmpictures.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">CNGM Web site<\/a>.
