We thought it might be worth our dearest readers\u2019 while to learn about the endeavors of the ambitious young man behind <strong>HOLLY<\/strong>, <strong>Danny Hill<\/strong>, as well as the production roles he still may need to fill. Ready to roll? <em>Let\u2019s go!<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In today\u2019s article we\u2019ve embedded three videos to help illustrate Hill\u2019s output that has appeared since <strong>INFECTION<\/strong>, a survival tale-with-zombies for which the <strong>Parkland College<\/strong> graduate organized a premiere at the <strong>Art Theater Co-op<\/strong> in 2013. First up is a comedic Web series called <a title=\"DOWNTOWN @ Facebook\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DowntownTheShow\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>DOWNTOWN<\/strong><\/span><\/a> that went live in September and October, covering the misadventures of best friends and college students Ralph (<strong>Pierre Devon Stephens<\/strong>), Eme (<strong>Miles Springer<\/strong>), and Michael (Hill) as they room together in a rental house near downtown Champaign. We\u2019ve shared the \u201cblooper reel\u201d Episode Six because it features clips and other characters from the run so far.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oMa711AoMKc\" width=\"450\" height=\"253\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Next is a non-fiction series we\u2019re happy to see Hill make, <a title=\"ALMOST INTIMATE @ Facebook\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/AlmostIntimateShow\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>ALMOST INTIMATE<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, in which he interviews other area twentysomethings who are demonstrating talent and drive in their respective pursuits. The dozen episodes that have gone live since January 2014 include comedian <strong>Larry Smith, Jr.<\/strong>, painter <strong>Davon L. Goodlove<\/strong>, pageant competitor <strong>Samantha Molina<\/strong>, boxer <strong>Kofi Bazzell-Smith<\/strong>, video producer <strong>Adrian \u201cAL\u201d Dorsey<\/strong>, and hip-hop musicians <strong>Young Club, Young Boogie<\/strong>, and <strong>Tae the God<\/strong>; Hill even <a title=\"ALMOST INTIMATE feat. Mayor Don Gerard :: YouTube\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-9cAel1BIsc\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">pays Champaign mayor <strong>Don Gerard<\/strong> a visit<\/span><\/a> at the city building to talk shop. Below we offer the most recent installment in which Hill discusses the student-run photography service <strong>50 Diamonds<\/strong> with <strong>University of Illinois<\/strong> undergraduates <strong>Elijah Okpogie<\/strong> and <strong>Nick Yi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/h67rWpx_uNg\" width=\"450\" height=\"253\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Our last video is one of several miscellaneous pieces <a title=\"Video uploads :: HD Productions @ YouTube\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/HDProductions58\/videos\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">mixed in with the <strong>ALMOST INTMATE<\/strong> and <strong>DOWNTOWN<\/strong> entries<\/span><\/a> on the HD <strong>YouTube<\/strong> channel, a music video for <a title=\"Kayo @ Facebook\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/kayombk\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">local rap artist <strong>Kayo<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and his song \u201c<strong>Lost Boys<\/strong>\u201d commenting on the polarizing strife between African-American youth and law enforcement. Mixing public domain and Internet footage of real-life scuffles with a staged altercation between actors <strong>BJ Foote<\/strong> and <strong>Wes Melton<\/strong>, <strong>LOST BOYS<\/strong> is short, tight, and modestly cinematic. It is possibly the best indication so far of the shape <strong>HOLLY<\/strong> might take.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jp395kOURac\" width=\"450\" height=\"253\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">So, what will <em>that<\/em> be? And how can you help? Hill has been soliciting for crew members on <strong>Craigslist<\/strong> and other Web sites in anticipation of an <strong>April<\/strong> start date \u2013 he is already rehearsing with lead actors <strong>Sawyer Harris, Tarek Nabulsi, Laquan Grein, Eric Klein<\/strong>, and <strong>William Rose II<\/strong> \u2013 but we\u2019re not certain which roles have been filled.
