Let\u2019s begin again by addressing a super-timely film topic that is not an answer to the question, \u201cWhat did you think of <strong>STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS<\/strong>?\u201d (Hint: We\u2019re not seeing it right away.) It is also not a response to the query, \u201c<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"IOW: CONSUMED in moderation :: C-U Blogfidential\" href=\"https:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/cublog\/?p=9510\" target=\"_blank\">What did you think of <strong>CONSUMED<\/strong>?<\/a><\/span>\u201d (Hint: Just <em>see<\/em> it already!) Today\u2019s \u201c<strong>Image of the Week<\/strong>\u201d will instead offer a few thoughts should any of you be itching to inquire, \u201cWhat is the movie playing the <strong>Art Theater Co-op<\/strong> over the weekend that I haven\u2019t heard about until today?\u201d (Hint: See the above banner?) After viewing the trailer of this most recent shot-in-<strong>Champaign-Urbana<\/strong> tale, MacDuff, read on\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xSW2Dn_ODGA?showinfo=0\" width=\"450\" height=\"253\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Local entrepreneur <strong>DeShawn Hill<\/strong> of <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"HD Productions Media :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hdproductionsmedia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">HD Productions Media<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, whose projects such as the zombie outbreak opus <strong>INFECTION<\/strong> and Webisode comedy <strong>DOWNTOWN<\/strong> have appeared previously in this space, returns with his first feature-length effort <strong>HOLLY<\/strong>, billed as \u201can ode to the classic Western <strong>THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY<\/strong>\u201d on <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"HOLLY @ Facebook\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/HollyTheMovie\/timeline\" target=\"_blank\">its <strong>Facebook<\/strong> page<\/a><\/span>. The young writer\/director\u2019s \u201cfast-paced thriller\u201d about \u201cfour men search[ing] high and low for what they deem to be treasure \u2026 in rural <strong>Virginia<\/strong>\u201d stars <strong>Nick Lannan, Kyle A. Thompson, William Rose II, Thomas Polk, Steve Montana, Jace Jamison<\/strong>, and <strong>Brian Winfield<\/strong> in a genre medley of misdirection and murder, if we\u2019re reading the ambiguous teaser correctly. Little else has been revealed publicly by HD, other than a steady stream of cryptic Internet-isms and <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"Episode 76 \u2013 Deshawn Hill :: Film Fervor\" href=\"http:\/\/filmfervor.com\/film-fervor-episode-76-deshawn-hill\/\" target=\"_blank\">an interview given by Hill<\/a><\/span> to <strong>Justin Kincaid<\/strong> of the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Film Fervor<\/strong><\/span> podcast, so <strong>HOLLY<\/strong> will hopefully deliver the indie goods for those attending the premiere. At this point in our history, you should know the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>C-U Blogfidential<\/strong><\/span> position on such matters \u2013 for every high-profile title created in or near <strong>Champaign County<\/strong> like <strong>CONSUMED<\/strong>, there are several micro-budgeted films such as <strong>HOLLY<\/strong> to be supported as well. Take that chance and discover what your friendly neighborhood movie-makers have to offer, citizen-<em>cineastes<\/em> of the C-U!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The mysteries of <strong>HOLLY<\/strong> will unfold on <strong>Sunday, December 20, 10 p.m.<\/strong>, at the Art, <strong>126 W. Church St.<\/strong> in downtown <strong>Champaign<\/strong>, with tickets running a modest $5. Preceding the feature will be another debut, the comparably lo-fi preview for <strong>RED LIGHT<\/strong> filmed by <strong>Colin Price<\/strong> and <strong>Lissa Massa<\/strong> of <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" title=\"IOW: \u201cPriceless\u201d right for B-fans :: C-U Blogfidential\" href=\"https:\/\/www.micro-film-magazine.com\/cublog\/?p=9438\" target=\"_blank\">the \u201c<strong>Priceless B Movies<\/strong>\u201d vidcast<\/a><\/span>. It serves as a proof-of-concept based on Price\u2019s own screenplay about a reluctant lady of the night and her nightmarish mark; parties interested in the property for future production may contact Price at <strong>rustynail72486 [at] gmail [dot] com<\/strong> with serious inquiries only. A disappointing lack of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>CUBlog<\/strong><\/span> reading, you have managed\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>p.s.3<\/em> However, \u201cLord Macduff\u201d <em>is<\/em> a key character in the <strong>Shakespeare<\/strong> canon and played by <strong>Sean Harris<\/strong> in the newest movie version of <strong>MACBETH<\/strong>, opening at the Art tonight.
