Not only has he scored vital column inches in the local press to plug CMM, such as <a title=\"Johnny Robinson profiled :: The News-Gazette\" href=\"http:\/\/www.news-gazette.com\/news\/local\/2009\/08\/09\/studio_visit_johnny_robinson_55_of_urbana\" target=\"_blank\">this profile which ran <strong>Sunday, August 9<\/strong><\/a>, in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>The News-Gazette<\/strong><\/span>, but also engineered a pair of club-sponsored occurrences which will be converging very shortly at a sleepy winery near us!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">As the drowsy populace awoke to read about Robinson at their leisure, a crack team of CMM stalwarts got to work early Sunday morning as they took over the <strong>Senator&#8217;s Inn <\/strong>in <strong>Savoy <\/strong>to film the club&#8217;s first-ever lab project, <strong>QUAINT<\/strong>. Written by Robinson and <strong>Bill Kephart<\/strong>, the scene concerns &#8220;a brother and sister [who] deal with changes in their relationship that effects their family business&#8221; as said siblings, played by Kephart and <strong>Stephanie Swearingen<\/strong>, argue with the latter&#8217;s friend (<strong>Thomas Nicol<\/strong>) about whether she should move to <strong>Chicago <\/strong>for school. <strong>Julia Megan Sullivan<\/strong> directed while Robinson produced and ran sound, <strong>Bill Yauch <\/strong>acted as DP, and <strong>Mike Boedicker<\/strong> operated the camera. <strong>Joe Taylor<\/strong> also filmed behind-the-scenes material.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>QUAINT <\/strong>will premiere on the evening of <strong>Saturday, August 22<\/strong>, at the first <strong>Champaign Movie Makers Mixer<\/strong>, an arts-filled public event to take place beginning at <strong>7 p.m.<\/strong> on the grounds of Taylor&#8217;s <strong><a title=\"Sleepy Creek Vineyards :: Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sleepycreekvineyards.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sleepy Creek Vineyards<\/a><\/strong> in rural <strong>Fairmount<\/strong>, located off of <strong>I-74<\/strong> near <strong>Danville<\/strong>. Several locally-made short films will screen in a loop along with <strong>QUAINT<\/strong>, while the live-action festivities will incorporate dance, comedy, and music along with wine tasting.
