Article in Champaign newspaper The Daily Illini about the debut of JEAN SHORTS, a half-hour comedy directed by University of Illinois students Sam Copeland and Roshan Murthy made up of vignettes “taking place in a small Illinois town that resembles Champaign.”

Editor’s note: If this new film is as offbeat and charming as the duo’s last project, SAMSARA, then expect to have a good time watching it. The premiere will take place tonight, Thursday, November 29, 8:30 p.m., in Room 151 of Loomis Lab, UIUC, 1110 W. Green St., Urbana. Admission will be free, but the filmmakers will also be collecting money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, and rewarding donors with DVD copies of JEAN SHORTS.
