Illini Film & Video meets Aug. 26

The Illini Film & Video club at the University of Illinois will meet for the first time this 2006-7 school year on Saturday, August 26, at 1 p.m. in the back of Bar Giuliani, 608 E. Green St., Campustown. Held roughly once every other week, these meetings allow interested members of the UIUC student body to learn about and get involved in film-making projects, fund-raising events, and volunteer or paid job opportunities outside of IFV.

“This will be a great time to hear, first-hand, how IFV works, how you can check out IFV equipment, and what projects are already in development,” says club president Alex Wayman in his announcement. “Of special note is that we will be filming a short after every meeting this year!”

Additional points of interest in the IFV bulletin include on-campus videography jobs and an encore of THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS VS. A MUMMY at Allen Hall. Further information and networking tools can be found at the IFV Web site.
