IndieWIRE.com reports that Samuel Goldwyn Films has purchased the U.S. distribution rights to BROTHERS AT WAR, a feature length documentary by University of Notre Dame graduate and Decatur native Jake Rademacher that explores his relationships with two younger brothers who have served in the military on Iraqi soil.

Also, click here and here for Decatur Herald & Review articles about last summer’s BROTHERS AT WAR benefit screening at the Avon Theater, presented by Rademacher, co-producer Norman S. Powell (THE BIG VALLEY), and executive producer Gary Sinise (CSI: NY).

Editor’s note: The newspaper articles linked above note that the filmmaker spent three months combined on the front lines with his brothers and their fellow soldiers to tape footage for his film. That’s balls, folks. Our hats off to Jake Rademacher for going the extra mile and a salute to the men and women who serve our country in the line of fire who allowed him access to their story. And now, President Obama and staff know what they need to do – bring them home.
