HEAVY set to bow at Canopy
Local rock-funk favorites Lorenzo Goetz (Larry Gates, Josh Miethe, Eric Fisher, Jesse Greenlee) have announced that the brand-new music video for the title track to The Heavy E.P. will debut tonight, Wednesday, June 28, just before their last “Rehearsal Space” gig at The Canopy Club, 708 S. Goodwin, Urbana, IL. Show starts at 9 p.m. with The Foster Walker Complex opening.
Amazingly, HEAVY the video will have been produced, edited, and posted on-line by director Matt HarsH of Random TV (see item: 3/17/06) within the month of June! Harsh gathered up Lorenzo Goetz and several fellow musicians (including Brandon T. Washington, Ryan Groff, Kayla Brown, and Nathon Jones) for a 12-hour marathon shoot at SOMA Ultralounge in downtown Champaign over Father’s Day weekend. Brian Paris performed the lighting duties for HEAVY, while live sound guru Jimmie Myers assisted the production.
The world will be able to stream HEAVY beginning next week at the Lorenzo Goetz Web site and MySpace page as well as on YouTube.
