AN UPHILL CLIMB on WILL-TV

Local PBS outlet WILL-TV channel 12, a broadcasting service of the University of Illinois, will air a documentary by Craig Lindvahl and Joseph Fatheree of nearby Effingham called AN UPHILL CLIMB tomorrow night, Tuesday, August 8, 9 p.m. CST. Winner of several Mid-America Emmy Awards, the Callan Films production paints an optimistic portrait of Kyle Packer, a man who doesn’t allow his cerebral palsy to get in the way of enjoying life, and joins its subject for amazing recreational excursions including rock climbing and white water rafting!

Fatheree and Lindvahl, both high school instructors when not active behind the camera, have produced several titles in addition to AN UPHILL CLIMB, their most recent. The Callan Films canon includes A TIME FOR HONOR: STORIES FROM VIETNAM (2002), MORE THAN A GAME (2000), and WEATHERED SECRETS: BARNS OF THE AMERICAN MIDWEST (1997). Further information on the older films can be found here, while the official Callan Films Web site concentrates primarily on CLIMB.
