FLICKER OF THE WEEK
On what other event can we bestow “FOW” honors this coming week but Roger Ebert’s Film Festival? Fantasy auteur Guillermo del Toro will introduce a screening of his recent Gothic drama CRIMSON PEAK to help launch the 18th edition on Weds., 4/13, 7 p.m., at the Virginia Theatre in downtown Champaign, while a special presentation of the new Richard Linklater comedy EVERYBODY WANTS SOME!! will warm up the “Ebertfest” masses the night before on Tues., 4/12, 7 p.m., at Foellinger Auditorium on the University of Illinois campus. Our next two regular posts will highlight a few non-film details of interest, so be sure to peruse them as you gear up for the annual descent of cineastes and community members upon Park St. Enjoy, Ebertfest fans!
