Saturday, February 23, 7 p.m.: The annual Insect Fear Film Festival marks its 25th anniversary with “animated social insect” movies: BEE MOVIE (2007) and ANTZ (1998). Saturday, March 1, 10 a.m.: Yet another event launches! The first Dead of Winter Film Festival presents a set of documentaries exploring alleged hauntings in the real world. Entries include HAUNTING VILLISCA, THE OTHER SIDE: GIVING UP THE GHOST, AMERICAN GHOST WATCHERS, and THE SPIRITS OF THE ROCKLIFFE MANSION. @ Lincoln Theatre, 141 N. Main St., Decatur. $10/festival.
