The fall will be movie time on the Mother Road when the Route 66 International Film Festival rolls around for its ninth outing in Springfield on September 17-19, 2010. Some of their neighbors will also be exhibiting at the event.

It’s here! It’s here! Time to make your picks for attending the inaugural New Art Film Festival at the Art Theater in downtown Champaign, taking place April 15-20, 2010 alongside the Boneyard Arts Festival. Time, in fact, to support your local filmmaker in public during a high-profile community extravaganza. We know you can do it.

The next meeting of Illini Film & Video will be on Monday, January 25, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. in Room 104 of the UIUC English Building on the Main Quad.

Once again, Illini Film & Video challenges all comers to take their prompts and shove ’em into the best less-than-five-minute film they can make within 49 hours during the annual 49 Hour Film Competiton at the University of Illinois!

On Wednesday, September 30, 2009, CNGM Pictures of Palatine, IL, released to DVD their college-set drama NORMAL LIFE, filmed in Bloomington-Normal during the spring of 2006.

C-U Blogfidential shares some ideas about places to go, people to meet, and events to attend, because we are firm believers in moderating one’s time in front of one’s video screens at the home front.

Champaign Movie Makers, a group dedicated to fostering independent and personal filmmaking in the Champaign-Urbana area, will next meet at the UIUC Foreign Language Building in Urbana, IL, on Tuesday, September 15, 2009.

Illini Film & Video, the student film-making club at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, will next meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2009, in Room 104 of the English Building.

A double-feature of locally-made short film thrillers will premiere under the umbrella title DOGHOUSE at The Canopy Club in Urbana, IL, at 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, 2009.

The next meetings of Illini Film & Video will be on Monday, August 24, and Thursday, August 27, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. in Room 104 of the UIUC English Building on the Main Quad.
