Year 5 may beget the trial by fire C-U Blogfidential must face in order for its long-term worth to be gauged.

Champaign Movie Makers, a group dedicated to fostering independent and personal filmmaking in the Champaign-Urbana area, will next meet at the M2 Building in downtown Champaign, IL, on Tuesday, November 17, 2009.

Join us back for the attack this December when our first “off-season” issue, C-U Confidential ’99, hits the streets!

We, the undersigned, do declare that C-U Confidential, the digest of the Movies of Champaign, Urbana, and the Cities Beyond, will engage the public discourse regarding independent local cinema for a second session during the 2009 calendar year. Tut, tut!

Of course, The News-Gazette would eventually cover the indie film production shooting just down the street from their main offices. That your humble editor was allowed to slather the icing on the cake came as a nice surprise.
